Design can mean numerous things; there is fashion design, classical art design, interior design, just so many that people don’t even think of it as a talent or even an art within itself. However, in this line of business, web design is simply described as the most modern type of art. It is an art through technology.
MySpace has become the latest fad all over the world. Every person from every different country logs onto their personalized homepage on MySpace to converse with fellow friends. Besides MySpace being the most excellent place to chat with your friends and even meet new ones. It’s also a great place to really show off your own ideas, your own creativity and talent.
Around 2003, when MySpace was founded, it wasn’t easy to just Google search ‘layouts’ for your MySpace. Of course, now if you were to Google search MySpace layouts, you would get a great deal of links to personalize your account the way you want to.
Most people want classy, yet something that makes their page bring their personality or talent to life. Most pre-made layouts don’t offer a large sum of creativity. They all seem to be basic such as; Winter layouts, beach layouts, girly layouts, movie layouts, etc, which is great for new comers that just created a MySpace, or who are around 15 years of age. However, what about people that want something more up to date, or creative, something that doesn’t scream over worked or I just pimped my MySpace with the tackiest pre-made layout I could find.
Less seems to be more when it comes to this sort of design. No one likes to click on someone’s personal MySpace and have to wait a large amount of time for the page to load because that person decided to bomb there MySpace with a very loud, brightly colored layout, and numerous amount of graphics.
Designing for the latest and well known site such as MySpace is not just about the color, the photos, or even the structure of each individual layout. It’s about the effort, and artistic ability that goes into it. Something that reads your specific personality, but that also shows how much work went into creating this piece of art.
